Our Learn-Do approach shares the training with added exercises to “trust but verify” the learning with coaching as needed with our self-paced program. The modules beginning with Base Camp, teach the principles of lean, methods, and use of tools in your workplace to develop each individual in a lean leader. This will include additional Lean Certifications you can select to leverage your Base Camp awareness/basics and advance your lean development through our stabilization, growth, and maturity levels.

  • The Base Camp (Bronze) – Lean 100 Series:
  • Base Camp is designed and developed from the ground up to equip you with all the tools you need for your ascension. The primary design goal is balancing ease of use and flexibility
  • A base camp, aptly named because it is a camp that is set up at the base of the mountain, is usually the starting point of the climb. It is needed (foundationally) for higher mountains that require two or more days, or even weeks, to conquer.
  • Self-paced, Lean Certification that begins with the basics of Base Camp awareness through a learn-do approach.
  • The Pinnacle (Silver) – Lean 200 Series:
  • As nouns, the difference between summit and pinnacle is that summit is (countable) a peak; the top of a mountain while pinnacle is the highest point. Leadership development with awareness training for all employees. This level allows stabilization as you continue to refine the tools while adding more to your toolbox. Standardized work for all major processes, there are pockets of excellence, CIR’s used network wide, and Process inventory.  Organization continually improves upon standards. Leadership commitment with a core team.  Process ownership, workplace organization, visual controls, problems solving with expansion from A3’s to include CIR’s.  Layered audit process is established for critical processes. *Prerequisite – Base Camp Certification
  • The Summit (Gold) – Lean 300 Series:
  • As a verb, summit is to reach the summit of a mountain. In theory, every mountain has exactly one summit. In practice, mountaineers will in many cases talk about multiple summits (e.g., Mt Rainier, Washington State has three identified with Columbia Crest noted as the highest). At this level the focus is on growth in the learning and application. This allows all field leaders teach, the workforce is actively engaged in lean processes, process cross-training in place, RASI documented, and all assessments Bronze or better. *Prerequisite – Pinnacle Certification
